_Hans Hofmann I received a nice large commission last week. After that is completed I can resume working on this oil impressionism landscape painting you see here. This painting has a long way to go but it is off to a good start.
If you hear a voice within you say 'you cannot paint,'
then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced. _VINCENT VAN GOGH Lucy Went To The Candy Shop - 9"x12" - watercolor and white ink abstract by Victoria Kloch

I like to live in the sound of water. in the feel of mountain air. A sharp reminder hits me: this world still is alive. it stretches out there shivering toward its own creation, and I'm part of it. Even my breathing enters into the elaborate give-and take, this bowing in sun and moon, day or night, winter, summer, storm, still - this tranquil chaos that seems to be going somewhere. This wilderness with a great peacefulness in it. This motionless turmoil, this everything dance. _Poem by William Stanfford Painting: Early In The Morning - 9"x12" watercolor abstract with white lines by Victoria Kloch If you are interested in this original, please contact me. I have done simalar works a while back, but for some reason at this time it just feels right to continue on with these compositions of delicate mosaic shapes.

Learning To Fly - 24"x36" modern acrylic on canvas abstract by Victoria Kloch Contact for availability. Pink Floyd - Lyrics to 'Learning To Fly" Into the distance, a ribbon of black Stretched to the point of no turning back Flight of fancy on a windswept field Standing alone, my senses reel Fatal attraction that's holding me fast Now, can't escape this irresistible grasp Can't keep my eyes from the circling sky Tongue-tied and twisted; just an earth-bound misfit, I Ice is forming on the tips of my wings Unheeded warnings, I thought I thought of everything No navigator to find my way home Unladen, empty, and turned to stone A soul in tension that's learning to fly Condition: grounded - determined to try Can't keep my eyes from the circling skies Tongue-tied and twisted; just an earth-bound misfit, I Above the planet on a wing and a prayer, My grubby halo, a vapour trail in the empty air, Across the clouds I see my shadow fly Out of the corner of my watering eye A dream unthreatened by the morning light Could blow this soul right through the roof of the night There's no sensation to compare with this Suspended animation - a state of bliss Can't keep my mind from the circling sky Tongue-tied and twisted just an earth-bound misfit, I Pencil Legs and Sliced Onions - 36"x36" modern acrylic abstract on canvas by Victoria Kloch Contact for availability. I found this in my files of a commission inspired by a Mark Rothko color field painting that I painted several years back. My client shared the installation of this piece over the fireplace in her home. The gold frame is truly the icing on the cake, do you agree? Monarch 22.5"x30" watercolor painting by Victoria Kloch
The Monarch. I am sharing my first watercolor painting of endangered butterflies. When you think of the butterfly what comes to mind? For me it is spiritual rebirth, transformation, creativity, endless potential, light hearted joy, change, ascension, and an ability to experience a life of freedom. The cycle of the butterfly in itself holds spiritual symbolism and insight for us. Birthed from an egg the butterfly lives it's early life as a caterpillar. It then retreats within the chrysalis where it undergoes a transformation to immerge from the chrysalis to be reborn as a beautiful winged creature known as the butterfly. #protectfreedomofspeech #protectthefirstamendment The original paintings sold a while back. I now have available both in Giclee prints. I just had a client purchase both 30"x40" prints to be hung horizontal side by side. I think she is on to something. San Simeon Beach , Cambria , CaliforniaI would like to share two of my ocean watercolor paintings that have been beautifully framed and displayed in their space. I'm very excited to share these together as it is a good example of two options for framing. Each painting is 22"x30" before framed. The top painting is classically all dressed up with a double cut mat to highlight the colors within the painting. The bottom, without a top mat so as to reveal the deckled edges characteristic of high quality watercolor paper by Arches. Most importantly each has been professionally framed with care to preserve the longevity of each painting with UV protection. Frames are the icing on the cake and brings together the personality of not only the painting, but also it's owner. A good framer knows how to enhance the painting without distraction or that takes away from the artwork. From the artist view point of my pieces I couldn't be happier the care and thought that went into perserving each piece. What do you think? Moonstone Beach, Cambria, California |
